Home and Ionic Air Purifier

A device that aims to free air from contaminants is called an air purifier. This is accomplished through various techniques like filters, adsorbents like charcoal, and electrostatic charges. Those suffering from asthma, allergies, and other respiratory problems are the most likely to benefit.

There has been some controversy regarding the claims made by certain companies, particularly involving ionic air purifiers. The effects of negative ion generators have been the cause of some scepticism and the legitimacy of these devices has been questioned. As ozone is toxic, the ozone generating properties of these machines are likely to have at least some negative side effects. The air purifiers with HEPA and Hega air filters are also there.

Types of Air Purifier

Air purifiers are generally classified on the basis of the method used for removing particles of various sizes from the indoor air at home. The three general types of air purifiers on the market are: mechanical filters, electronic air purifiers, and ion generators. Devices such as air conditioners, humidifiers, and dehumidifiers may technically be considered air purifiers as these may reduce some pollutants present in indoor air through condensation, absorption, and other procedures. However, only devices specifically designed and sold as air cleaners have been included here.

Home air purifier

In homes with central heating and air-conditioning, mechanical filters may be installed in ducts. These may also be used in portable devices, which have a fan to drive air through the filter.
